AC STB PDA – Pain diary on PDAs
PDAs running either the Palm or Windows systems allow patients to complete customized surveys
and questionaires using AC-STB PDA.
Clinics often provide these devices to their patients for a short time period during
which the patient completes the assigned surveys. Every patient is assigned a PIN code in order to
protect his data if the device is given to a patient group. All data is stored anonymized and in a
cryptographically protected format. A custom user profile can be defined in order to optimize data
entry. The following languages are available: German, English, Spanish and Turkish.
It is also possible to display schematic drawings - especially useful for marking pain areas.
The Headache-Diary uses a drawing of a head that patients only need to tap to select. An alarm
function provides time based reminders, commonly used to inform patients to take their medication.
The intake of the medication must than be confirmed by the patient for documentational proof.
SynchronizationIn order to synchronize the device with the system, it must be placed in
the synchronization crade and the synchronization process must be started. Upon the completion of
the synchronization process all data is available for analysis in AC-STB Doc. |
