Efficient pain therapy using electronic diaries

As a precursor to a successfull pain therapy, pain documentation takes an important role. To diagnose out of over 200 different types of headaches is a very involved task, and only with a timely and correct pain documentation can the diagnosis be derived and neccessary adjustments to ongoing treatment be done in order to optimize the patient's quality of life.

Only by maintaining a pain diary patients can learn to understand their pain, the pain diary allows patients and doctors to identify the factors that contribute to or even trigger pain attacks. Based on such observations and analytical reports of the collected data the malevolent aspects can be reduced if not even prevented entirely.
